The stages from start to finish for an artist or designer are a mystery to most of our customers. On June 4th, local artists will have the opportunity to share some of our (top secret) techniques with all of you at The Charlottesville City Market. If you are interested in learning some of my special techniques used to create my vintage style jewelry, come see me on the 4th for a little "show and tell"!

When Hillary Tattersall with Chickspicksbyhillary.com approaches me with a challenge, my heart races, I get the chills, and I drop everything to exceed her expectations. This time, to create an accessory using neutrals, pale gray, beige and ivory with a beachy theme, but nothing preppy, no sunglasses and flip flops. I started thinking beach house, sand, seashells...and here's what I came up with. Hillary submitted my designs to Matthew Mead for his Summer Holiday edition and, my dish towels were chosen to be a part of his book. Check out page 16 of Summer Holiday with Matthew Mead or head over to Chickspicksbyhillary.com to purchase yours before they sell out.
