This is one of the most beautiful Treasuries I've been a part of on ETSY. Thank you, Meg, for selecting the Felicity skirt to be a part of this gorgeous combination. This one also made ETSY's front page. I am honored. You can see the full Treasury here...http://www.etsy.com/treasury_list.php?room_id=18740

The City Market is coming to an end for the season. Saturday, October 25th, will be your last chance to make those special purchases. In honor of that, I will offer 20% off to anyone who mentions my blog. Come see me again at the bottom of the hill. It has been a wonderful year for me and GDO has grown more than I ever expected. Now, it's time for the trunk shows where I can keep warm indoors. If you are interested in hosting a GDO trunk show, convo me for the excellent benefits.

I thought I was going to take a break from the Market this weekend. We are having my Aunt and Uncle from MI come stay with us for a few days. I am so looking forward to having time to visit with them. But, since so many of you were asking if I would be back this weekend, I am pleased to say, that yes, I will be there. Two spaces down from where I was last Saturday in spot #67. I hope for another wonderful day and look forward to seeing everyone.

You should have seen me tear into the package that arrived today, knowing what was inside. I've been working with an amazing company over the past several months to incorporate my logo into comfortable shirts for little girls and women of all sizes. This season, I've chosen to have the GDO logo printed on a chocolate brown cotton top. It is perfect for Fall and looks great with any of the designs from our Foliage Collection.
Coming soon... We have lined up a professional photoshoot to capture the Foliage Collection with some great accessories from other Independent designers. For those customers who have requested the logo tops, please convo me or check them out on ETSY. I will offer 20% off if you mention my blog at checkout.

I was hoping to get through Halloween before presenting the Holiday skirt. But, just couldn't resist. I love the playful pattern and the vibrant colors of this design. Fun orange oranaments on a rich red background and the lime green snowflake print are an unexpected combination with the vintage style apron. As I continue to strive to keep my designs unique, I look forward to outfitting little girls with GDO designs across the globe. There is nothing more rewarding than that.

This year celebrates the third annual Celebration of Babies for the March of Dimes in Beverly Hills, CA. Celebrities and other attendees will have the opportunity to shop prior to the luncheon. I am thrilled that Girls Day Out designs have been selected amongst other high end boutique brands. I have a lot of work ahead of me to prepare for this event. But, it is a wonderful cause that I strongly believe in and want to support. 10% of sales will go to March of Dimes. Melissa Joan Hart is behind the connection to this invite. I am so excited to see what other celebrities choose GDO to be a part of their children's wardrobe this year.

Yes, it's true! Amazon.com is now carrying Girls Day Out designs. An amazing opportunity for a small town girl with a bigtime dream. I've learned with the offers coming my way all at once, that I can handle it - nothing will hold me back. This is an achievement that I never imagined when this business began for me five years ago. It gets better every day. With a struggling economy, it didn't seem very promising for us this year. But, orders are at levels that keep me home more than I'd like to admit. As growth continues for me, I enjoy the challenges and demands that keep me doing what I love.

And, I am so excited to have somehow "stood out" amongst them. I didn't know this sort of thing exisisted. But, it is wonderful knowing that my designs will now be on little girls across the globe.

Kinder Winkel is a kid-hip children's boutique providing Utah with a super cool place to shop for their little ones. The name Kinder Winkel means "Kids Store" in Dutch, reflecting the Duth Heritage of it's owners. Recently they added GDO skirts to their selection of children's clothing. So, for those of you who wonder why I haven't been out of the house much these days, you can see, business is doing well. It is truly rewarding for me to take this business to new heights.

Although I live in a fairly small town, we have some great little shops here offering a variety of fun home decor, antiques, gourmet dining, and - of course - fashion. Today I met with Lula Blu Boutique and they are introducing children's clothing to their selection of high end women's fashion. A variety of our Fall skirts and denim will be available to purchase mid August.

As Girls Day Out evolves, I am thrilled with the connections I have made in this industry. Having a successful business is all about networking and keeping honest relationships with those who support you. GDO is sincerely my passion and I am so excited to have my designs chosen to go to the daughters of Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin.
